Microsoft: Partnering for the Future

I’ve just come back from a roundtable at Microsoft’s Cambridge Research Centre where I had the opportunity to discuss some of the issues that I have been researching within the cScape Customer Engagement Unit.

The morning was part of Microsoft’s Partnering for the Future project. Organised by Steve Clayton and Claire O’Halloran in the UK Partner Group. The roundtable was attended by a representative from a dozen partners as well as Scott Dodds, GM of SME and Partner Group and Microsoft’s UK MD Gordon Frazer.

We discussed some of the issues surrounding Web2.0 and looked at how our clients understand the current marketplace. Most of what we discussed is probably only of interest to companies within the partner programme but I wanted to put own on record that I was really impressed with the openness and candour offered by the Microsoft team. I can’t imagine many companies, even a fraction of the size of Microsoft, providing access to their core management team for over half a day.
